Metro Manila Toastmasters Club (MMTMC) members often say that our club is not a club – it’s a family!

It is a place where one can find an incredible sense of community and lots of encouragement and positive attitude. Aside from being a venue for learning, MMTMC is also known for the close bonding among its members. And there are many ways through which MMTMC members bond even outside of the club meeting environment: leisurely lunches at the mall, spirited talks over coffee and cake, birthday celebrations at members’ homes, and weekend trips out of town.

PUNTA FUEGO GETAWAY! 

Last April 25, 2009, the MMTMC celebrated the summer holidays by going on its a weekend outing  at the Peninsula de Punta Fuego, at Nasugbu, Batangas.

President Joy Gatdula, CC singlehandedly organized the outing, paying attention to all details — from the fabulous rented house where the group stayed, the delicious meals, to the transportation, and even the snacks during the trip. She was like a mother hen who fussed and looked after her rowdy brood of chicks — in this case, over a dozen of them! 

The beach was a short walk away from the house, which had gorgeous views of the sea and the mountain right from the backyard. Come nightfall, the group enjoyed a mouthwatering dinner and great booze that fueled the videoke singing and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Even the journey home turned out to be a happy road trip, with a tour around Punta Fuego to view the magnificent vacation homes and the swanky Club House, followed by stops at Tagaytay City for the requisite “pasalubong” shopping.

Buoyed by the great weather and happy companions, the weekend turned out to be a delightful bonding experience for the Club members. Check out the photos!
