Like any Toastmasters organization, Metro Manila Toastmasters started as a club dedicated to developing the communication and leadership skills of its members by providing a supportive environment where people can speak, learn, and get feedback.

We don’t know exactly how it happened, but one day, we earned the reputation of being the friendliest club in town! It’s not something we aspired for, mind you. It’s simply the impression that curious visitors got when they dropped by our meetings. It’s no surprise that many of those visitors eventually decided to become members.

With all the dropping by happening during our meetings, we managed to amass a membership from different walks of life: law, engineering, medicine, the academe, government, non-government organizations, media, business, and the arts. Such diverse backgrounds made for very interesting Monday nights, which in turn, attracted even more members!

With its friendly spirit and zany atmosphere, and the incredible support from its members, the club went on to gather a plethora of awards from Toastmasters International and from various speech competitions.

Today, Metro Manila Toastmasters Club continues to help its members gain confidence and attain better speaking and leadership skills in one of the friendliest settings on Monday night. It likewise continues to be one of the most active and most awarded clubs in the country.
